Although I'm not an expert in diet or nutrition, I like to think I know a thing or two about living a healthy lifestyle. A nutritious diet is a necessity, and since it completely changed my life and how I approach food, I thought I'd give my two cents through this blog.
Growing up, I never bothered to think twice about what I was putting into my body. I guess it was just one of those things that never crossed my mind. How unfortunate...because not only does it mess with your body physically, it also effects you mentally and emotionally...
There were many reasons why I wanted to change, so I began exercising regularly in college So I was going to the gym more, but why wasn't I seeing much of a difference? Because I had a lousy diet. Gradually I began to pick up tips on what to and what not to eat, learned how to read nutrition facts, and watched what I ate. It all went uphill from there, and I've never felt better in all aspects of my life! Yes, eating healthy is important to me, but I don't let it control my life. I still eat out occasionally, snack, and indulge...but in moderation, of course.
